This system is designed and not yet in the game.
An enchantment is a circuit you build on a grid. Tiles wire themselves by adjacency — there are no edges to draw and no dangling connections, so the only mistakes you can make are ones you can see. The finished board obeys exactly the law a caster does; a mote kindled by hand and a mote kindled by a ring are the same mote.
The parts
A cell holds the charge and trickles back on its own. A sensor produces a whisper of current while its condition holds — an orc within reach, an impact, the wearer's own command. A gate passes the main line while it feels that whisper. An emitter spends the result as an effect. Conduits carry, and resist by length: a longer run is a dimmer emitter, and you can watch the current flow to see why.
Logic is topology
Sensors in series are AND; in parallel, OR. A gate can be momentary — it closes, the cell dumps, done — or latching, held open while the sensor still reads. That is the whole logic system: no script, just shape.
No telltale glow
An enchanted item shows nothing in the world except its own effect. A ring that makes light shows light, because the ring is making it. A ring that senses orcs looks like a ring — right up until it doesn't.
