Knowledge is the set of things a character is able to do at all, separate from how well it does them. A character without a piece of knowledge cannot attempt the thing it covers.
Learning
Knowledge is gained by being taught by another character. Each piece of knowledge a character learns is recorded in its encyclopedia.
